Job Description TMCC's Web Services Office is seeking a creative and end user-focused Web Support Specialist to join our talented and collaborative team in Reno, NV. This newly created position will assist TMCC's Webmaster and Web Services staff in the development, implementation, maintenance and operations of the College website and web-based information delivery systems. Under the direction and supervision of TMCC's Webmaster, this position provides web development support by creating, editing, and updating responsive HTML-based and database-driven content while providing excellent service in the delivery of external and internal communications. Working closely with our web development and marketing teams, the successful candidate will utilize HTML5, PHP, CSS3 and jQuery to develop effective user interfaces while working within the Drupal content management system. The Web Support Specialist will assist in creating innovative solutions to web design issues to help make the website more visually appealing and enhance usability. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of web savvy and demonstrated knowledge of current trends, be a self-starter, have excellent communication, organization and time management skills, and work well with a wide range of college constituents. Desire to learn, master new skills and grow your skills and a strong attention to detail is are a must! Minimum Qualifications: 1. A combination of related experience and/or education may be considered, including but not limited to the following: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a similar field plus two years work experience, or Associate degree from an accredited institution in a similar field plus four years work experience. 2. Demonstrated and extensive web development and content management experience using current website programming tools and languages including PHP, CSS3 and JavaScript/JQuery,. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience administering and developing websites using Drupal CMS. 2. Experience developing responsive websites using the Bootstrap Framework. 3. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, etc.). 4. Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. 5. Experience working in a higher education environment. Responsibilities: Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds. 1. Works as a team member to create and deliver high quality web content and websites that meet TMCC's guidelines, templates and coding practices, primarily within the Drupal CMS. 2. Assist with managing the College's web presence including page design and content to maintain relevancy and brand; including graphics, landing pages, videos, photography, etc. 3. Help support, develop and expand current and custom site designs and assist with appropriate redesigns when needed. 4. Work to strategically implement content to advertising Web and social media usage to support ad campaigns, including designing and developing content for landing pages to advance advertising and PR strategies. 5. Develop web content and information that is compliant with College Web and Accessibility (WCAG 2, Section 508) standards. 6. Employ Google Analytics to make recommendations in the development, redevelopment, and/or redesign of departmental websites. 7. SEO and meta tagging of assets, including web pages and PDFs, to organize content and enhance discoverability. 8. Assist with the development and creation of responsive email communications. 9. Communicate web standards, guidelines and procedures effectively with clients, faculty and staff. 10. Assist with training faculty and staff on Drupal. 11. Organize, analyze and prioritize workload effectively and efficiently, under minimal supervision to meet deadlines. 12. Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, list serves, professional publications and resources, to enhance communications, end-user functionality and ease of use. 13. Maintain a positive attitude throughout the workplace by being cooperative, courteous, and supportive toward all colleagues. 14. Effective interpersonal, and communication and customer service skills. 15. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. 16. Other duties as assigned. Salary Information: Minimum $48,018 - placement is dependent on education and experience.
