The applicant should have experience in an enterprise network, preferably in Higher Education. This position also schedules and oversees fulltime employees and student workers in areas such as Academic and Administrative Computing and Media Services. The supervisory duties include hiring, training, evaluations, among other duties as necessary. Customer Service orientation and the ability to understand, follow and create technical documentation is a major aspect of this position. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or other related field and two years of related work experience, or Associate 's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology or other related field and four years of related work experience. Responsibilities: Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds. 1. Contribute in a friendly and professional manner to customer service issues in a higher education environment. Solve technical and software-related problems while working with customers of varying technical abilities and knowledge 2. Supervise, hire/terminate, train, evaluate and schedule employees of various levels. Monitor and coordinate projects and assignments on varying technical levels and areas within or outside the college. 3. Maintain Windows and Mac computers with a variety of networked peripheral devices 4. Possess the experience to use computer imaging software to roll out software and use a variety of remote access tools within a Desktop Management System such as Quest KACE, for example 5. Administer AD, DHCP, GSuite for Education, Helpdesk Ticketing Systems, and a variety of other IT specific tools 6. Evaluate, approve, purchase and implement equipment based on institutional guidelines and IT requirements 7. Understand Media Services equipment and its use and installation in classrooms 8. Documentation of processes and procedures 9. Represent the IT Department, the college and NSHE in a highly professional manner. Salary Information: Minimum salary $48,014, placement is dependent on education and experience.
